How clients find you on Promptd
Clients reach your page through two main doors: they search for care themselves, or we recommend you to them. Here is how each one works, and what you control.
Search
Clients search by what they need, the kind of professional they want, and where. They narrow results with filters: availability, language, insurance, communities served, price, in-person or online. Two things determine whether your page appears and where it ranks:
- What your page says. Filters can only match what you have filled in. If your services, communities, or availability are missing, searches that filter on them skip you, not because you do not fit, but because your page does not say you do.
- Your discovery score. Among matching pages, higher scores rank higher. The score rewards a complete page, natural writing, and fast replies to messages.
Recommendations
Some clients tell us what they are looking for and let us suggest providers. We propose pages that match their needs: the right services, the right location, the right communities. The same rule applies as in search: a complete, specific page gets recommended; a sparse one is hard to match to anyone.
Your discovery score
The score lives in your listing editor. It breaks your page into areas, shows the points each one earns, and sorts what is left by impact, with a button straight to the right section. Treat it as your to-do list: the top row is always the single most valuable thing you can do for your visibility. Replying to messages within 24 business hours protects the response part of the score, and fast repliers earn the Responds quickly badge.
Visibility and your subscription
Your page stays online at its own address as long as it exists, and anyone with the link can open it. Appearing in search and recommendations is tied to your subscription: while it is active, your page is discoverable; if it ends, your page stops appearing there until the subscription restarts. Sharing your link, on your website, in your email signature, on social profiles, works regardless.
Your page works in both languages
Everything you write is translated automatically between English and French. A client searching in French finds you even if you wrote your page in English, and the other way around. You write and edit in one language; the other stays in sync on its own.
Worth doing once: open your page in the other language (switch the language on the page itself) and read it as a client would. Automatic translation is strong, but you know your own vocabulary best, and a quick read tells you whether anything deserves a clearer phrasing in the original.
What to do with this
If you want the short version: keep your page complete, answer every message quickly, and let the discovery score in your editor pick your next improvement. Getting started as an independent provider walks the whole path, and Responding to messages covers the reply half of ranking well.
