Getting started as an independent provider
Somewhere nearby, a client is searching for exactly what you offer: the right approach, the right price, someone they can picture themselves talking to. Promptd gives you one public page built to be found by them: who you are, what you offer, where you work, and how to reach you, surfaced through search and recommendations, with client messages landing straight in your inbox. This guide takes you from a new account to that first conversation.
1. Create your account
Sign up with your first and last name; your name becomes part of your page's address. If you were browsing as a client before, the same account works: listing your practice adds to it, nothing is lost.
2. Choose your plan
Head to the pricing page and start a personal plan. Your subscription is what unlocks creating your page, and it is what keeps your page appearing in search and recommendations afterwards. If you run a clinic with several practitioners, a Team plan is the better fit: see onboarding your clinic instead.
3. Build your page
A guided form walks you through your page section by section, about 10 minutes in total. It goes fastest when you have three things ready:
- A headshot. A phone photo in good light is enough; Photos that work shows what to aim for.
- Your services with prices. Each service gets a name, a description, and a price. A free introductory call at $0 is welcome and works well as a first step for hesitant clients.
- A few sentences about yourself. How you work and who you help, in your own voice. You can refine everything later in the editor.
When you publish, your page is live at its own address and you can share the link anywhere.
4. Complete your page
Publishing is the start, not the finish. A few sections live only in the editor, and they are worth your next 20 minutes: clients look for them, and they earn discovery score points.
- Good to know: answer the questions clients ask before booking, like fees, insurance, and how sessions work. Answering client questions covers what to write.
- Communities: the specific groups you work with. Clients filter their search by these.
- Education: where you studied and what you earned. Clients check this before they book.
- Tour of my space: add 3 photos to an address and clients get a tour of where you would meet them.
Your compass here is the discovery score in the editor: it lists every section that could earn you points, sorted by impact, with a button straight to the right place. A higher score means a better position in search results.
5. Respond to your first message
This is the moment your page exists for. When a client writes, you get an email right away, and the first reply matters most: aim to respond within 12 hours, keep it to a few short sentences, and end with a question. Fast repliers earn the Responds quickly badge on their page. Responding to messages has the full playbook.
FAQ
Can I build my page before subscribing?
No, the plan comes first: creating a listing is part of your subscription. Once it is active, you can create, edit, and publish freely.
What happens if my subscription ends?
Your page stays online at its address, but it stops appearing in search and recommendations until your subscription restarts.
Is my page available in French and English?
Yes. Your page is translated automatically, so clients searching in either language can find you. How clients find you explains the details.
I work at a clinic that is already on Promptd
Ask your clinic to invite you to their team instead of creating a separate account: see joining a team on Promptd.
