My practice links herbalism and naturopathy with a somatic approach. I welcome each person in their entirety: body, energy, emotions, sensitivity and life context. What is herbalism?

Herbalism is the art of supporting health and well‑being using medicinal plants. Plants can support the body in a concrete way, but they can also accompany more subtle processes of self‑listening, regulation and reconnection to the living. They can be used as infusions, decoctions, tinctures, glycerites, floral elixirs or personalized preparations.

What is the somatic approach?

The somatic approach invites you to listen to what is experienced in the body: sensations, tensions, emotions, drives, zones of comfort or discomfort. Rather than staying only in mental analysis, it allows you to slow down, better understand your needs, limits and protection mechanisms, and regain greater inner presence.

Is your approach suitable for sensitive or neurodivergent people?

Yes, my approach can be particularly relevant for highly sensitive, anxious, easily overwhelmed, or neurodivergent individuals. The sessions provide a space to slow down, better listen to the body, clarify needs and find gentler reference points, without forcing or trying to “fix” the person. Plants can become wonderful allies to support us on this journey.

Are consultations only for emotional issues?

No. Consultations can also support physical issues such as fatigue, sleep, digestion, hormonal cycles, immunity or chronic pain. I nevertheless address these issues from a holistic perspective, taking into account the body, the nervous system, lifestyle rhythm and what the person is going through.

What are your influences in somatic approach?

My somatic approach is nourished by mindfulness, focusing, Inner Relationship Focusing, certain concepts from IFS (Internal Family Systems), as well as trauma‑sensitive and nervous‑system‑aware approaches, notably inspired by the work of Peter Levine and Gabor Maté. These concepts support a gentle, non‑judgmental listening that respects each person's rhythm.

What are your influences in herbalism?

My approach is nourished by Western traditional herbalism, eclectic medicine, the work of Matthew Wood, the doctrine of signatures, as well as certain concepts from TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Ayurveda. It also relies on direct observation of plants, clinical experience, transmitted knowledge and a sensitive, sensory and intuitive relationship with the living.

How do you choose the recommended plants?

I choose plants based on multiple layers of listening: your needs, your symptoms, your constitution, your energy, your sensitivities, your lifestyle habits, the necessary precautions, and also how a plant seems to match your inner rhythm. When appropriate, we can together feel the effect of a plant in the body. This can help us determine together what works best for you.

Do you recommend only medicinal plants?

Plants are at the heart of my practice, but the support can also include supplements or other simple avenues concerning lifestyle rhythm, sleep, nutrition, breathing, body listening or presence practices. The goal is not to offer many recommendations, but to find what is truly supportive, accessible and integrable for you.

How many sessions are needed?

A first session often helps clarify what is happening and provides concrete suggestions. But support over multiple sessions allows deeper work: observing the plants’ effect, adjusting recommendations, supporting changes over time and offering a regular space to settle, listen better to oneself and self‑regulate.

Where to obtain the recommended plants and/or products?

When sessions take place at my office, I can usually provide most of the recommended plants and preparations, depending on needs and availability. Some come from my own harvesting and/or are made by me. For online sessions, as well as for purchasing teas and supplements, I refer you to trusted herbal shops or specialized suppliers.

What budget to plan for plants or products after a session?

The cost of plants or products is not included in the consultation fee. The budget varies according to needs, formats and place of purchase. I always try to offer simple, accessible and realistic options. As a guideline, many people budget about $25 to $75 for a first set of plants or preparations.

Are the plants safe with medications?

Some plants can interact with medications, medical conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding or certain sensitivities. That is why I always take the time to ask about your health, treatments, allergies and particular needs in order to adjust recommendations to your situation.

Is your approach spiritual?

My approach can include a sensitive, symbolic or spiritual dimension, particularly in the relationship to plants and the living, but nothing is imposed. The support adapts to your vision, needs and comfort level. It can also remain very concrete and bodily.

Do the consultations replace medical or psychological follow‑up?

No. My consultations do not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric follow‑up. I do not make diagnoses, do not prescribe medications and never recommend stopping a medical treatment. My support is rather part of a complementary, educational and holistic approach aimed at supporting well‑being, autonomy and body listening. If necessary, I can encourage you to consult a doctor, psychologist, psychotherapist or other qualified professional.
